This month, Kashoo team members participated in the 2012 Institute of Professional Bookkeepers of Canada Conference in Vancouver. Overall, it was a great place for us to be as many of the topic tracks focused on moving bookkeeping practices to the cloud and the “office of the future.” As for what we heard most from bookkeepers at the conference, it was pretty unanimous: a universal recognition that bookkeepers need to move their businesses away from cumbersome habits like dropping off boxes of receipts and manually invoicing individual clients at the end of each day or week. We were excited to hear this sentiment for obvious reasons and ended up having a number of chats with bookkeepers ranging in topic from online accounting software to cloud computing to the role the iPad can play in improving not only their business but those of their clients. (Naturally, we held court until venue security insisted it was time to leave.)
