WePay has recently announced that, across the coming year, it will be shutting down its invoicing operations. As WePay is a preferred payment processing tool for both Kashoo and TrulySmall Accounting, we would like to guide you through next steps so that you can continue to accept digital payments! This is to say: if you’re currently using Kashoo Pay or have digital payments connected in TrulySmall Accounting, don’t fret! We’ll be helping you move over to Stripe—an incredible modern payment processing platform.
What is Stripe

Stripe supports over 135 different currencies and will automatically handle foreign currency conversions, so you can spend less time worrying about payments and more time focusing on growing your business.
Stripe’s approach to security is world-class and adheres to stringent standards of PCI DSS (Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard). This ensures the protection of your sensitive payment data and encrypts your customers’ card details, so they can feel secure when paying your invoices. What this means for you
You can probably tell that we’re excited to offer Stripe to all of our TrulySmall Accounting and Kashoo customers. But before we get ahead of ourselves, let’s talk about what this means for you!
Note: The next steps will depend on whether or not you have previously set up payments capabilities within Kashoo or TrulySmall Accounting.
I have set up payments
In order to continue accepting payments in TrulySmall or Kashoo, you will need to connect your account with Stripe. Please follow the steps below:
- Login to your Kashoo or TrulySmall Accounting account
- Head over to your ‘Settings’
- Go to the ‘Invoicing and Payments’ page
- Under the ‘Payments’ section at the bottom, click ‘Configure your Stripe payment processor here’
- If you have a Stripe account already, you can go ahead and sign in. If not, then follow the instructions to set up your Stripe account
I have not set up payments
In order to starting accept digital payments on your invoices with Kashoo or TrulySmall Accounting follow the steps below:
Once your Stripe account has been connected, your digital payments will automatically be processed through Stripe, rather than WePay. There’s nothing else you’ll need to do to start getting paid – just send your next invoice and your ‘Pay Now’ button will be switched over to Stripe.
